A FALL DANVERSPORT WEDDING, DANVERS, MA
I found out I was second shooting a Danversport wedding where I was married the day before my fifth anniversary. Isn’t that amazing? I mean how much chance is that? It was meant to be.
It was a perfect day for this Northshore waterfront wedding – Danversport wedding. Tia and Chris were so pleasant to work with. Chris’s two brothers were in his wedding party. Their funny, easy going characters made it so easy to hang out with them while they were getting ready. I have to say, the Groom really had his fashion nailed or should the bride take the credit? The multi color slim suite, maroon bow tie, personalized cufflinks really put a stylish look together. Tia and Chris had their first look outside of hotel before we headed to their church ceremony. It was priceless to see his reaction when he turned around.
I was so excited to go back to Danversport Yacht Club. I was wondering if everything still looks the same, the gazebo where my ceremony was, the classic white Adirondack chairs on the lawn by the water. Yup, I still saw the rose bushes around the gazebo. Just like I remembered. It was so touching to see both side of parents congratulate each other with big hugs and kisses, watch bride and groom’s first dance in silence and tears.
The cocktail area was setup elegantly and perfectly with cheese and wine, raspberry in the champagne glass, grapes and staggered wine boxes. It was full of European influence.
The staff were so wonderfully warm and pleasant. I had chance to chat with one of the staff during cocktail hours. She told me she has been working there for over 10 years. And she loves to work there because how well the employer treated the employees. How often do you really hear that? Really. Brides, doesn’t that make you feel worry free and secured if you are looking for a waterfront wedding venue in Northshore in MA? I thought that was quite a comment from a employee. If they treat their employee well, then they will treat their brides and grooms like Queen and King, right?
There were two Danversport weddings happening. However, this venue is so versatile with three separate reception space and their own ceremony site.
THE HARBORVIEW BALLROOM AND SUN DECK
It has 5000+ square feet of deck overlooking Danversport’s grounds. It has massive capacity of 200 – 650 guests if you will have a big fat Greek wedding. This spectacular room has a private deck overlooking the water with direct access to a gazebo and beautiful garden.
TERRACE BALL ROOM AND GARDEN
It has 4000+ square feet of waterfront gardens with capacity of 100-225 guests. It features a large dance floor, a magnificent pergola outside for ceremony, waterside patio and gardens.
LIGHTHOUSE POINT AND COURTYARD
This is where Tia and Chris’s wedding held. It’s designed for a more intimate weddings. It can accommodate 50 to 90 guests, offering water views on three sides and a rock waterfall centered in the beautiful tented courtyard. It is perfect for cocktail hours as you can see in photos.
However, I didn’t get married in any one of these locations. It is or was a secret room at Danversport Yacht Club. It was 6 years ago. Gosh, I can’t believe time flew by. I had a small wedding with about 45 guests. Any room above was big for my wedding. I don’t know if they still offer this. But I was offered with their smallest room called Captain”s Room. We had our ceremony at Gazebo, right outside of Captain’s Room. It was just perfect size for us. So if you are having a smaller wedding, but want all the water views, that would be it!
Overall, It is an amazing venue with stunning views of coastal waters, scenic gardens, and outdoor ceremony sites from every angle. Danversport Yacht Club is a beautiful and diverse waterfront wedding venue in Northshore , MA.
