It was very special to me to photograph this wedding at Danversport Yacht Club in Danvers, MA because I was married at this venue 5 years ago. I was blessed to have this opportunity to be the second photographer for this beautiful wedding the day before my fifth anniversary. Isn’t that amazing? How much change was that?!
First of all, I have to say, the Groom totally nailed his fashion. Or should the bride take the credit? The multi color slim suit, maroon bow tie and personalized cufflinks really put a stylish look together.
Second of all, Chris has his two brothers in his wedding party. They are funny and easy going. Therefore they made it so easy to hang with them while they were getting ready.
Tia and Chris had their first look outside of hotel and then we headed to their church ceremony. It was priceless to see his reaction when he turned around.
Reception – Lighthouse Point
On this perfect day in October, Bride and groom had their wedding reception at Lighthouse Point at Danversport Yacht Club. I was so excited to go back to Danversport because I kept wondering if everything is still the same as remembered. Is the rose bush around the gazebo still there? Or is the classic white Adirondack chairs on the lawn by the water still around?
And yes, just like it has been. All my memories rushing back to me during Tia and Chris’s portrait time.
The cocktail area was setup elegantly and perfectly with cheese and wine, raspberry in the champagne glass, grapes and staggered wine boxes. It was full of European influence.
The staff were so wonderfully warm and pleasant. I had chance to chat with one of the staff during cocktail hours. She told me she has been working there for over 10 years. And she loves to work there because how well the employer treated the employees.
How often do you really hear that? Really. Brides, doesn’t that make you feel worry free and secured if you are looking for a wedding venue? I thought that was quite a comment from a employee. If they treat their employee well, then they will treat their brides and grooms like Queen and King, right?
There were two weddings happening. However, this venue is so versatile with three separate reception space and their own ceremony site.
Are you craving for a glamorous dream wedding outside of Boston? If so, this would be it for you. The Harvoirview Ballroom has 5000+ square feet of deck and overlooking Danversport Yacht club grounds. It has massive capacity of 200 – 650 guests if you will have a big fat Greek wedding. This spectacular room offers a private deck overlooking the water with direct access to a gazebo and beautiful garden. It has the best combination of glamor, waterfront and nature. What else could you hope for, right?
This reception venue has 4000+ square feet of waterfront gardens with capacity of 100-225 guests. It features a large dance floor, a magnificent pergola outside for ceremony, waterside patio and gardens. Perfect for mid size romantic weddings.
This is where Tia and Chris’s wedding was held. It’s designed for a more intimate weddings. It can accommodate 50 to 90 guests and offers water views on three sides and a rock waterfall centered in the beautiful tented courtyard. It is perfect for cocktail hours as you can see in photos.
However, I didn’t get married in any one of these locations. It is a secret room at Danversport Yacht Club haha… It was 6 years ago. Gosh, I can’t believe time flew by.
Joe and I had a small wedding with about 45 guests. Any room above was big for my wedding. I don’t know if they still offer this. But I was offered with their smallest room called Captain”s Room. We had our ceremony at Gazebo, right outside of Captain’s Room. It was just perfect for us. So if you are having a smaller wedding, but want all the water views, that would be it!
Overall, It is an amazing venue with stunning views of coastal waters, scenic gardens, and outdoor ceremony sites from every angle. Danversport Yacht Club is a beautiful and diverse waterfront wedding venue in Northshore , MA.
